چکیده

We present the results obtained from detailed spectral and timing studies of extra-galactic black hole X-ray binaries LMC~X--1 LMC~X--3, using simultaneous observations with {\it Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR)} Neil Gehrels Swift} observatories. The combined spectra in $0.5-30$~keV energy range, between 2014 2019, are investigated for both sources. do not find any noticeable variability light curves, $0.1-10$~Hz fractional rms estimated to be $<2$\%. No evidence quasi-periodic oscillations is found power density spectra. sources high soft state during disc temperature $T_{\rm in}\sim 1$~keV, photon index, $\Gamma > 2.5$ thermal emission fraction, $f_{\rm disc}>80$\%. An Fe K$\alpha$ line detected LMC~X--1, though no such feature observed LMC~X--3. From modelling, spins holes LMC~X--3 range $0.92-0.95$ $0.19-0.29$, respectively. accretion efficiency be, $\eta \sim 0.13$ 0.04$

X-ray Properties of Black-Hole Binaries

We review the properties and behavior of 20 X-ray binaries that contain a dynamically-confirmed black hole, 17 of which are transient systems. During the past decade, many of these transient sources were observed daily throughout the course of their typically year-long outburst cycles using the large-area timing detector aboard the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer. The evolution of these transient s...

X-ray emission from black-hole binaries

The properties of X-ray emission from accreting black holes are reviewed. The contemporary observational picture and current status of theoretical understanding of accretion and formation of X-ray radiation in the vicinity of the compact object are equally in the focus of this chapter. The emphasis is made primarily on common properties and trends rather than on peculiarities of individual obje...

Multimessenger astronomy with pulsar timing and X-ray observations of massive black hole binaries

In the decade of the dawn of gravitational wave astronomy, the concept of multimessenger astronomy, combining gravitational wave signals to conventional electromagnetic observation, has attracted the attention of the astrophysical community. So far, most of the effort has been focused on groundand space-based laser interferometer sources, with little attention devoted to the ongoing and upcomin...

Inclination Effects and Beaming in Black Hole X-ray Binaries

We investigate the dependence of observational properties of black hole Xray binaries on the inclination angle i of their orbits. We find the following: (1) Transient black hole binaries show no trend in their quiescent X-ray luminosities as a function of i, suggesting that the radiation is not significantly beamed. This is consistent with emission from an accretion disk. If the X-rays are from...

X-ray States of Black Hole Binaries in Outburst

We continue to probe the properties of stellar-size black holes and the physics of blackhole accretion using bright X-ray transients. Progress has been made in the recognizing that the three states of active accretion are related to different physical elements that may contribute radiation: the accretion disk, a jet, and a compact corona. Each of these states offers potential applications for i...
